Trainer: Sylvester Kirk

Had the ideal preparation for training, being the son of Irish Trainer Syl Kirk and after working for the Irish National Stud becoming assistant to the redoubtable Richard Hannon. It would have been reasonable to assume that Kirk would travel the same path as the man who is now his father-in-law. He has done extremely well with two-year-olds. Got his trainers license in 2001 and started at Cedar Lodge almost straightaway

I enjoy regular contact with our owners, and nothing is ever too much trouble. I really encourage them to feel involved with the training of their horses, and the stables are always open to them. The sport is not just about winning, its about enjoying everything to do with it. Along with my husband and 2 sons "Racing is my life"
